Saddam Hussein backs Claus and cohorts

Wednesday, December 2, 1998

In a shocking statement, Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein has announced that he will be supporting Santa Claus and his minions if any military action is taken against them.

Hussein further stated that he resented the American "pigs" in their efforts to bring down Santa Claus. He believe that the Americans were afraid that Claus was becoming a powerful military force and he had to be brought down immediately. Claus has been known to employ several trained guards at his outposts at the North and South Poles.

Furthermore, it is believed that a large arms shipment was received by Claus at the new stronghold at the South Pole. Reconnaissance planes reported that three large Iraqi barges were seen sailing in the vicinity of Antarctica. It is believed that these barges contain several SCUD missiles and spy equipment.

Although the White House was unable to be reached for comment, it is believed that the President will blockade the Antarctic stronghold. An announcement is expected later this afternoon.

"This is a dire threat to our peaceful way of life" analyzes Dr.X. "If steps are not taken soon to stop Claus and his barbaric thugs, our very existence is in jeopardy." Dr.X is expected to assemble a small strike force to infiltrate Claus' lair.
